Privacy

TipTriangle is run by 25 Alpha LLC to help families find missing loved ones. We collect as little as possible, because the safest information is information we never hold.

What we collect

• Tips: what you write, when you saw it, and a location only if you add one. Your phone number or email only if you choose to give it.
• Search entries: the route, area or spot you mark on the map, how thoroughly you searched, an optional first name or team name, and optional notes.
• Family sign-in: the email address of each approved family member, and a log of what they view, change or download.

What we don't collect

• We don't store IP addresses, device IDs or browser fingerprints with tips or search entries.
• We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
• We don't use facial recognition on anyone.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, briefly processes network addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. We don't keep those addresses.

Who can see it

• Tips and search notes: only the family members approved for that search. The family decides what to share with police.
• The search map: anyone with the link sees the shaded areas and team names, so volunteers don't repeat ground. Notes are not shown publicly.
• 25 Alpha staff: only to run and protect the service. Access is logged.

What we never do

• Sell or rent any information.
• Use tips to train AI models.
• Post tips, accusations or suspects publicly.

How long we keep it

We keep information while a search is active. When it ends, the public page comes down and the data is deleted on a set schedule. We keep information longer only when police, a court or the law require it, for example a formal request to preserve records.

Legal requests

If police or a court lawfully require records, we may have to provide what we hold. We keep tipster information to a minimum so there is as little as possible to hand over.

Your choices

You can send a tip without giving your name or contact. To ask us to delete a tip you sent, or for any privacy question, call 567-252-5742. You must be 13 or older to send a tip.
